Pork Dumpling
Juicy pork dumplings infused with Nepalese ground spices and fresh coriander.
Why ours
We hand make every single momo, and we think it shows. A machine made momo looks identical every time, with pastry so thick it gets in the way of the filling. To us that misses the point.
A good momo has thin, delicate pastry and is generous with the filling inside. So wherever you buy your dumplings, look closely at what you are getting. We are proud of ours, and the regulars who come back each Sunday are how we know we are getting it right.
The dipping
Every plate comes with all three. Mix, match and find your favourite.
Our small batch chilli oil, for those chasing a proper spicy kick.
Bright, sweet and tangy, and gentle on the heat for everyone else at the table.
The classic Nepalese sauce. If it is your first momo, start here.
When they are on
These come and go with the weather, so they are not always on. When they are, they go fast.

the warm weather one
Steamed momo of your choice served in a spiced jhol sauce that bursts with tangy, smoky and aromatic Nepalese flavours. Look for it on warmer, sunnier days.

the cold weather one
A family recipe broth, slow cooked for depth and warmth. Our best seller through a cold Canberra winter, in limited numbers.

Take some home
The same chilli oil we serve at the pop-up, ready to take home. Small batch, no nasties, proudly Australian made. Spoon it over momo, noodles, eggs, or anything that needs a lift.

Beyond the Sunday pop-up, we cater events big and small across Canberra and the region: birthday parties, weddings, school fetes, work functions and community days. Tell us the date, the headcount and the kind of day you are planning, and we will put together something that fits.

Our story
Canberra is a city of diplomats, so who better to bring it one of Nepal's best loved street foods? Our recipe is three generations in the making. It began with a grandmother in Nepal, was perfected by a father who ran his own restaurant there, and has now travelled all the way to Canberra.
The real secret is in the spice. In Nepal, every family keeps its own blend, so no two families' momo taste quite the same. Ours is one of a kind, and it is what makes every plate unmistakably us.
This has never been about the money. It is about connection. Two families, a shared love of good food, and a dumpling pop-up run around full time jobs, with every single one folded by hand.
